WasteLess Campaign

The theme for the Sustainability Office this academic year is WasteLess. ‘WasteLess’ addresses topics surrounding water, energy, food, time, and people. Through these more specific topics, we are asking, “what do we waste?”, “how do we waste it?”, and “how can we change our personal habits and our social, political and economic systems to conserve resources and care for all people?” This semester the Sustainability Office team hopes to host two public events focusing on waste--particularly textile/clothing waste and food waste. Both complex, the fashion/textile industry and food systems currently produce large amounts of waste from the production end, through consumer choice, and through improper disposal. We hope to engage students and community members in discussion about these two areas.
