Feed your Brain Campaign
The Feed Your Brain Campaign began in 2017 by a group of students concerned about food insecurity on campus. According to the FYB page, "Of the nearly 360 students who responded, 70% noted that they could not afford to eat nutritionally balanced meals, 50% of respondents said they cut or skipped meals to stretch their food budget, and nearly 70% noted that they had difficulty paying their rent."
Since its creation, Feed Your Brain has worked to raise awareness about food insecurity on college campuses and break down stigmas around food insecurity. In Fall of 2019, Feed Your Brain was proud to open up the Food Resource Center on campus, a permanent food shelf for Hamline students that provides nutritious food with no proof of need required.
